FGF5 is a natural protein produced in the scalp that stops hair growth and initiates hair fall. In a normal, healthy hair cycle, the hair fall is followed by the emergence of a new hair from stem cells in the scalp. Yes. Female hormones have a strong effect on the hair cycle and for some women, specific birth control pills can lead to hair loss. Some implantable (IUD) hormone releasing birth control devices in particular are associated with hair loss. If you are experiencing hair loss because of your current birth control, then you should speak to your physician about alternatives. Often, swapping to a different formulation can help.

Please speak to your doctor about your specific treatment programme. Some treatments for cancer can result in hair loss, BioGro will not be able to prevent this.
